About Us

I'm a mechanical engineer by trade, and a laser cutter obsessive by hobby. At the time that my hobby started, I had a ChowChow dog of 13 years. One evening, just messing around with the laser, I found myself thinking about him: how he used to nibble on every plant he could reach, completely unrepentant about it. I love plants myself, so the idea clicked — I engraved him as a gardener, apron and shovel and all.

It was meant to be a one-off, just for me. But friends saw it, then their friends did too, and soon people who'd never met my dog were asking for one of theirs — a firefighter, a chef, whatever fit them. That's how Pawsome Planks started: something built from love and a bit of stubborn engineering, turned into wooden magnets other people could hold onto too. Every piece is still cut, sanded, and engraved by hand, the same way that first one was.
